Facts & description: This drawing shows the possible appearance of Achelousaurus, a dinosaur from the late Cretaceous Period (around 80 million years ago) that lived in what is now North America. Achelousaurus was a herbivore that reached around 6 metres (20 feet) in length and featured two distinct horns coming from its neck frill. It was named in 1995 by paleontologist Scott Sampson.
